A Message from our VP Recruitment 2010, Lindsay Holmes

We would like to thank all of the women who participated in GW's most successful formal recruitment to date.  On behalf of Delta Gamma, I would like to congratulate the women who are now a part of our thriving greek community at The George Washington University.  We are so proud to call you our fellow greeks and wish you the best of luck in your new member pursuits!

Formal recruitment is one of the most exciting and important aspects of your life as a sorority member.  My fellow sisters and I are thrilled to know that you have expressed an interest in the Delta Gamma Fraternity.  Recruiting new members for the Beta Rho chapter of Delta Gamma allows us to develop new friendships, and participate in more philanthropic events, which is precisely why new members and alumnae are crucial to the recruitment process.

To All Potential New Members:  Welcome to formal recruitment 2010!  The sisters of Beta Rho are thrilled to know that you, as a potential new member, have expressed an interest in the Delta Gamma Fraternity.  Throughout your time at the George Washington University, you will find that life as a member of the Pan-Hellenic community is incredibly rewarding in many different ways.  We can’t wait to share all the aspects that make Delta Gamma such a wonderful place to drop anchor.

Formal recruitment will be held in Fall 2010, September 24th- September 28th.  In the meantime, check back for frequent updates about what DG's are up to on campus and in D.C.!

To All Alumnae:  Your continued sponsorship throughout the recruitment process means so much to each and every one of us.  We appreciate your dedication to Delta Gamma in your post-graduate years and welcome your participation in any capacity.  Filling out sponsorship forms or attending formal recruitment events are just two of many ways to get involved.  If you know of a potential new member going through formal recruitment at GW, please follow this link to learn more about filling out a sponsorship form.   If you would like to attend an event or receive more information about how to get involved with the Beta Rho Delta Gamma chapter, please contact either myself at betarhorecruiment@gmail.com, or our Director of Alumnae Relations, Ellen Kaplan at ejkaplan@gwmail.gwu.edu.

We always look forward to having you back and look forward to seeing you!

    FAQs about Recruitment

    Who is eligible for membership?

Any woman registered as a full time student at a university where a Delta Gamma chapter is located is eligible for membership.

Is there a minimum grade point average (GPA) required to pledge Delta Gamma?

Delta Gamma at The George Washington University requires that new members have at least a 2.7 college grade point average or, if college grades are not available, a minimum of a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale from high school.

Are Sponsor Forms required for pledging Delta Gamma?

Yes, being endorsed by a member of Delta Gamma is required for pledging and a Delta Gamma Sponsor Form is the preferred form.

How do I obtain a Delta Gamma Sponsor Form?

Sponsor Forms can be obtained by asking family friends, teachers or counselors to write a sponsor form for you. You'd be surprised how many Delta Gammas you may know! The National Panhellenic Conference has alumnae Panhellenic groups organized throughout the U.S. and Canada. You can contact one of these organizations and they will assist you in obtaining sponsor forms for all 26-member NPC groups. In addition, any initiated Delta Gamma can sponsor a potential member for membership in Delta Gamma.  Please send all sponsorship forms to Lindsay Holmes at betarhorecruitment@gmail.com

Who is considered a Delta Gamma legacy?

Granddaughters, daughters, sisters or the same step-relations of Delta Gammas are considered Delta Gamma legacies.
